Baler Adventure: Sand, sea and waves

by - Monday, April 14, 2014

From the shorelines of beaches, the sun and the pave lines of the sand. Waves that  entices your feeling to move with the water. Whatever travel menu you have, surely Baler adventure will give you what you want.

Exploring Baler is one of the breathtaking places I have ever been. Baler is famous of being the surf spot in the Philippines, situated in Aurora province. The town is the backdrop of the infamous Siege of Baler. When the Spaniards ceased and sold the Philippines to America, there was a group of renegade Spanish soldiers who decided that it wasn't their time yet. They occupied the Church of Baler for almost a year until they finally gave up. This was the last Spanish stronghold in the Philippines. It is now called, "Siege of Baler."

Sabang beach is the most popular with surf shops and schools that cater to the novice and the seasoned surfer. The best time to surf is September to March.

Sabang's beach moment

Baler is one of the place I was dreaming of second to Batanes and third to El Nido and Coron.

It was the first time Ive got on the 10-ft surf boards and go ride with the waves.

Breakfast at Hungry Surfer

The first thing we do when we arrived in Baler is ofcourse to "eat". We spotted Hungry Surfer, the restaurant operated by Bay's Inn. With there P170.00 eat-all-you-can breakfast buffet surely your hunger will fade away.

At night we experienced the dinner buffet in Gerry Chan's Place for only P185.00 eat-all-you-can na...

Then after taking some rest we walked to Mahdox Surf School to learn how to surf.
